There’s no doubt that the Intimidation brand is one of the fastest growing brands in the world of MMA, and the attention to the brand continues to grow. Thursday marked the second interview this month on ESPN Radio in Ashtabula, Ohio, for Intimidation Clothing President & CEO Luke Jernigan which fit nicely with Intimidation sponsored George Comer’s appearance on All Bets are Off on SportsTime Ohio. To add to this, Jernigan will appear on The Show with Heath Herring & Jay Pagliaro tonight, August 26th.
The recent media attention began over a year ago when the Ashtabula Star Beacon ran a full-page story on Jernigan and the Intimidation brand. It detailed the thinking behind many of the style as well as many of the sponsored athletes that work with Intimidation Clothing including GriffonRawl MMA Academy owner and 4-time UFC vet Jason Dent. But while the offline media hype was not as frequent to close 2010 and begin 2011, the company’s online success contnued to grow exponentially. In July 2011 Jernigan was a guest on ESPN 1260 The Score with host Chico Bormann in Erie, Pennsylvania, then in August began a series of interviews with ESPN 970 WFUN as their MMA correspondent. With the attention that the company has received offline, it has helped boost the online attention even more bringing the contact with Jay Pagliaro, one of The Show’s co-hosts.
The interview begins a busy weekend for the Intimidation brand which includes their previously announced sponsorship of 2 pros and 10 amateurs on Saturday night’s NAAFS card as well as sponsorship of the NAAFS Rock ‘N Rumble 5 event in Cleveland, Ohio. Jernigan is expected to be in attendance with special promos for the fans throughout the night.
