Weekend Recap: Buffalo, Columbus, Indianapolis & more get a taste of Intimidation during busy weekend

The Intimidation Clothing brand continues to spread across the country, typically with multiple events in multiple states sponsored each weekend. This past weekend was no different, with 5 events sponsored across four different states, and with crews at three of the events. The culmination of sponsoring events across the Midwest and beyond, this weekend once again proved that Intimidation Clothing is indeed the biggest supporter of Local MMA in the industry.

Kyle Rozewski w/Luke JerniganIntimidation was live on hand at TNT Fight Series in Buffalo, and as the New York MMA community continues the fight to get the sport legalized in the state, organizations like TNT and owner Don Lilly are doing all they can to prove that it will be an asset to the economy. Intimidation was also on hand at IT Fight Series 26 in Columbus, Ohio, with the organization’s debut in the capital city. The fights were fast and furious in the cage and the night ended as Reggie Parks – a fighter that Intimidation has worked with multiple times – took home a split decision victory in the entertaining main event.

Intimidation Weekend Recap: Awesome lives up to the name winning his 11th National Championship while Intimidation alums impress at UFC on FOX

Wrapping up the last weekend of the first month of 2014, Intimidation Clothing has set itself up for yet another banner year. Cam F Awesome - BoxingIntimidation sponsored boxer Cam F. Awesome won yet another national title, while Intimidation alums impressed inside the Octagon at UFC on FOX 10 in Chicago.

After a career year in 2013, U.S. amateur boxer Cam F. Awesome kickstarted his 2014 campaign and a run toward the 2016 Olympics with his 11th national title in Spokane, Washington. The plant-based, vegan boxer continued his run as the most decorated amateur boxer in U.S. history.

At UFC on FOX 10 in Chicago, a pair of Intimidation alums put on impressive showings with the most important victories of their respective careers. First, Michigan native Daron “The Detroit Superstar” Cruickshank picked up his fourth UFC win in six outings, as he finished Mike Rio with a spinning wheel kick that was followed by some punches before the referee jumped in. Stipe Miocic UFCNow 4-2 in the UFC and 14-4 overall, Cruickshank was sponsored by the Intimidation brand in 5 fights prior to his appearance on TUF 15. Meanwhile, in the night’s co-main event, Ohio native Stipe Miocic continued his climb up the UFC’s heavyweight ladder, as he battered former title challenger Gabriel Gonzaga for three rounds to earn a unanimous decision victory. Weekend MMA Recap: Team Intimidation fighters earn wins at sponsored MMA events across the Midwest

It was a busy weekend for Team Intimidation across the Midwest, as multiple events and fighters were sponsored on a busy October weekend. Intimidation was on hand at multiple events over the weekend, including Akron, Detroit and two MMA events in Indianapolis, selling its popular brand of t-shirts, hats, hoodies, fight shorts, and more. The successful weekend saw several sponsored athletes victorious with the amateurs stealing the show.

Austin Tweedy MMAAt the Caged Madness 26 event in Akron, Ohio, Team Intimidation was on hand with a successful night, while sponsored fighters went 1-1 inside the cage. Professional heavyweight Tim Dunn (1-1) suffered his first defeat when the doctor stopped the fight with a cut in the first round. Jeremy Linville (2-1) landed a big punch on Dunn early in the fight, and the cut wouldn’t stop bleeding. Also at the Explosive Fight Promotions event, former Division II national champion wrestler JD Ramsey (2-0) remained unbeaten in his amateur career with a first round TKO victory. A disciple of Intimidation sponsored UFC veteran Branden Hinkle, Ramsey is one of the newest members of Team Intimidation.

The Indiana wing of the Team Intimidation crew had a busy weekend, as they were on hand at two Indianapolis MMA events beginning with the Midwest Fight Series: Friday Night Fights 5 event on Friday night. In one of the night’s featured pro bouts, Team Intimidation pro Austin Tweedy (3-0, pictured on right) stayed unbeaten with a 75-second submission victory over Kurstan Davenport (0-1). Dustin Parrish with Eddie BravoIntimidation was also on hand at the Art of War 8 event on Saturday night in Indianapolis, and Intimidation Clothing September Athlete of the Month Dustin Parrish (8-1, pictured on left with Eddie Bravo) had a slick debut in the lightweight division, as he took home a unanimous decision over Gary Widget (9-5). While Intimidation was seen across the Midwest, two high profile fights also saw the Intimidation brand on display thanks to the brand’s fantastic relationships in Cleveland and Pittsburgh. On Friday night’s Bellator MMA broadcast Justin “The Silverback” Wilcox scored a unanimous decision win in the semifinals to advance to the Bellator Featherwight Tournament final. Wilcox, who trains at AKA in California and Fight Club Pittsburgh alongside a variety of Intimidation sponsored fighters, was caught on the live Spike TV broadcast wearing an Intimidation beanie during warm-ups. Meanwhile, at CFA 12 in Coral Gables, Florida, Torrance “The Tyrant” Taylor, a long-time friend of the Intimidation brand, lost a close split decision for the promotion’s lightweight belt.

Intimidation Clothing Athlete of the Month – Dustin Parrish

Intimidation Clothing is pleased to announce its September 2013 Athlete of the Month – Dustin Parrish.

Parrish, an amateur fighter from Indiana, boasts an impressive 7-1 record and is one of the fastest-rising stars on the Midwest MMA scene. Now training at American Top Team in Indianapolis, Parrish got his start in MMA after going to a local martial arts school just to take a break from wrestling. Dustin Parrish MMAHe began his amateur MMA career in 2011 at just 18 years old, and he quickly rattled off 7 wins in 7 outings over his first two years as a fighter. All 7 of those wins came via stoppage, with the first 6 coming in the first round.

Now training with Carlos Diaz of American Top Team and Myron Greber of Iron Horse Martial Arts, Parrish still trains with his brother and wrestling coach Ryan Parrish at Contenders Wrestling Academy. His well-rounded training is the key to his success, as he has posted 2 TKO victories to go along with 5 submissions in his 7 wins. Most recently, Parrish dropped his first career bout to Sean Fallon with via a razor thin split decision in a bout that many are calling one of the best of the year. Parrish will look to get back on the winning track when he drops to the 155 pound lightweight division for his next bout at the upcoming Art of War 8 event.
