Frank Caraballo continues his rise to the top of the MMA world

Intimidation Clothing prides itself on discovering up-and-coming talent in the mixed martial arts world, and one such fighter who is certainly on his way up is Northeast Ohio-based featherweight Frank “The Tank” Caraballo (11-4). Frank Caraballo MMAOne of the newest additions to Team Intimidation, Caraballo was first sponsored by the popular clothing brand at Bellator 51 in 2011, where he stopped Dustin Kempf in just 79 seconds to become, at the time, the interim NAAFS featherweight champion.

That victory kicked off a huge streak for Caraballo, who immediately became one of the hottest fighters in Ohio. In his next outing, he became the first fighter to stop ultra-tough UFC veteran Donny Walker via knockout, defeating the 12-year pro and 28-fight veteran with a flying knee KO live on Spike.com at Bellator 66 in Cleveland. The win over Walker earned him the undisputed NAAFS title and caused his stock to soar immediately. He followed the KO with stoppages over Antonio Castillo Jr. and Jeremy Czarnecki, furthering his status as a hot prospect on the Midwest scene. “The Tank” will next travel to Atlantic City in January, where he will take on IFL, Bellator, and WEC veteran Deividas Taurosevicius for the Ring of Combat featherweight title.

As the leader of Fearless Fight Team, the full-time fighter is certainly on his way to a premiere spot with one of the sport’s top two organizations, either the UFC or Bellator. He has already racked up a 2-1 record inside the Bellator organization, with two stoppage wins. Overall, he is riding a six-fight winning streak, with five straight stoppage victories since dropping to 145 pounds last year. Also a former NAAFS lightweight champion, the popular fighter is on the cusp of MMA superstardom. You can expect that there will be even more fans chanting “Frank The Tank” at future fights, and it’s just a matter of time before one of the big dogs wise up to the skills of Caraballo.

All Eyes on Jessica “Evil” Eye

November 2, 2012 by
Filed under Fighter Sponsorships, News, Sponsorships

Since her arrival on the MMA scene back in 2008, all eyes have been on Jessica “Evil” Eye. In her 14 career fights, Eye has amassed an overall record of 13-1, and Intimidation Clothing is proud to stand as one of Eye’s chief sponsors.

Jessica Eye MMA - BellatorStarting her athletic career as a standout soccer player in high school, Eye (9-1 pro, 5-0 amateur, @JessicaEvilEye) desired to compete. Once her high school days were over, she turned to the then-untapped world of mixed martial arts by wandering into Strong Style MMA in Independence, Ohio. After becoming a mainstay on one of the Midwest’s premiere MMA teams, Eye quickly helped to advance the world of women’s MMA with her fast-paced fight style and charisma on the microphone.

Eye participated in the first-ever women’s MMA bout in the history of the North American Allied Fight Series (NAAFS, based in northeast Ohio) and was instrumental in the inception of the NAAFS putting on the state of Ohio’s first ever all-female MMA card, entitled Eve of Destruction. Along with those other firsts, Eye was also the first female to headline a combined male/female card for the NAAFS, when she took on Aisling Daly for the first-ever women’s pro title last year at “Fight Nite in the Flats VII.” With a near-perfect record, Eye is already one of the most popular fighters in the state of Ohio and a staple of the NAAFS, as evidenced by the large number of her Intimidation Clothing signature t-shirts in the crowd every time she fights.

Jessica’s warrior spirit has been evident in each and every fight, but most recently she showed that she has a never say die attitude when she fought Angela Magana with a partially broken foot in the main event at “NAAFS: Rock N Rumble 6″ in August. Eye still completely dominated the bout, using her pinpoint boxing skills to keep the veteran grappler at bay. After the bout, Eye once again received the praise of Bellator CEO Bjorn Rebney.

Jessica Eye MMAThe level of competition that Eye has faced has also been staggering, as her opponents had a combined 46-14 record at the time of facing her. She has also never faced an opponent with a losing record, and the current Ring of Combat champion has still tasted defeat just once in her career.

Eye is likely to be a building piece in the Bellator women’s 125-pound tournament, which is expected to begin early next year. Already ranked in the top five at 125 pounds, “Evil” could potentially get a shot at redemption against Aisling Daly, the only woman to defeat her at this point. Prior to the tournament, however, Eye was back in action at Bellator 83 on December 7 in Atlantic City, where she blitzed fellow Ohioan and Bellator’s 115-pound champion Zoila “Warrior Princess” Gurgel (12-2). After knocking down Gurgel early in the bout, the underdog Eye then locked in a standing arm triangle choke and put the champion to sleep. The win vaults her up the rankings, and makes her the undisputed Queen of Ohio MMA.
