UFC on FOX sees four Intimidation alumni with big opportunities in front of them

UFC on FOX 16 goes down Saturday night in Chicago, and four alumni of the Intimidation brand are all in action on the MMA world’s biggest stage. Jessamyn Duke, Daron Cruickshank, Ben Saunders and Jessica Eye each have big fights, each in their own way. In likely the most high-profile fight of each fighter’s career, Saturday night could determine the fate of each fighter as they move forward in the UFC rankings. Jessamyn Duke with UFC Champ Ronda RouseyFor Eye, a title shot against Ronda Rousey may be next, for others their jobs may be on the line.

Kicking off the night’s card for the Intimidation Clothing alumni is Jessamyn Duke, fighting in the night’s 2nd fight. Duke (3-2) faces off with Elizabeth Phillips (4-3) as she fights for her job after losing 2 straight following a win in her UFC debut. Intimidation sponsored Duke in her first three professional MMA fights, all under the Invicta FC banner, and released the Jessamyn Duke signature tees during her time on the popular TUF 18 program.

Daron Cruickshank, a member of the UFC’s roster since the beginning for 2012, will step into the Octagon for the 12th time on Saturday night as he looks to improve his 6-4-1 UFC record. Now 16-6-1 overall, Cruickshank faces James Krause (21-7, 2-3 UFC) as he looks for his first win after a No Contest and loss in his past two fights. Daron Cruickshank MMAIntimidation sponsored Cruickshank in multiple fights in 2010 and 2011 which spurred him onto The Ultimate Fighter’s 15th season.

For Ben Saunders, a second chance with the UFC has proven quite successful thus far. After an impressive 4-3 record in the UFC from 2007 to 2010, Saunders was cut and later signed with Belator MMA. Intimidation sponsored Saunders in Bellator’s Welterweight Tournament in 2011 as he continued to face many of the top 170lb fighters in the world. Now back in the UFC after a 7-3 stint with Belator MMA, Saunders looks for a 3rd straight win inside the Octagon.

Finally, the biggest fight of Jessica “Evil” Eye’s career serves as the night’s main event at UFC on FOX 16. At 1-1-1 her UFC record does not scream title shot, but in a thin division looking for rivals to take on Champion Ronda Rousey, Eye’s match-up with Miesha Tate could be everything she needs to vault her into the national MMA limelight. Jessica Eye MMA - NAAFSAfter a 10-1 run at 125lbs where she climbed to #1 in the world in her weight class, Eye made the move to 135lbs in 2013 and signed on with the UFC to compete against the most high-profile women in the sport. While Intimidation supported her in 9 consecutive pro fights over a span of four years from 2010-2013, the company created the Jessica Eye signature tee in both men’s and women’s styles which the company sold at many of her fights in and around Cleveland.

While none of these great athletes will be donning Intimidation Clothing on Saturday night, each played an important role in helping build the Intimidation brand over the years. We wish each fighter the best of luck as they look to advance on the highest profile stage in Mixed Martial Arts.

A September to Remember for Intimidation Clothing

As the month of August comes to a close, we look back at what was yet another awesome month of growth for the company. But while the Summer of 2011 proved to be a great one for our company, a look ahead to September shows an even brighter sky. With a fan base and following based mostly in the Midwest United States, things will be changing shortly as the Intimidation brand looks to further solidify our place regionally while exponentially increasing our national exposure in September.

The month will start off strong with two of the Cincinnati region’s most popular fighters in action and sponsored by Intimidation this weekend in Mojo Horne and Chris Bennett. The Annihilation Productions “Riverfists” event takes place on Sunday, September 4th at the Ohio Riverfest and features free admission for fans.

Less than a week later on September 10th, Intimidation Clothing will be lighting up the television screen with four different Bellator Welterweight Tournament participants sponsored in the first round of their 170 lb Season 5 Tournament. Luis “Sapo” Santos, Steve Carl and Ben “Killa B” Saunders, also a 7-time UFC vet, will all be in action and will all be fighting for Bellator on MTV2. Santos will be wearing authentic Intimidation MMA board shorts. That same night, Intimidation Clothing will be on hand at NAAFS: Combat Challenge 15 in Akron, Ohio as an official event sponsor.

One week later, Intimidation will once again be featured on MTV2 as Brian “The Predator” Rogers makes his Bellator debut fighting in their Middleweight Tournament against fellow Ohio fighter Victor O’Donnell. Intimidation board shorts will be featured again Rogers is currently giving fans the option to choose his Bellator shorts (pictured) for the fight on Intimidation’s Facebook page. On that same night, although not officially sponsored by Intimidation Clothing inside the cage, Donny “Eagle Eye” Walker will fight at UFC Fight Night 25 in Louisiana.

During the weekend of September 24th, the company will experience the biggest weekend in it’s over two year history. One night after another Intimidation sponsored event in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Intimidation is expected to be on hand at Bellator 51 in Canton, Ohio, where the company will have Bantamweight Tournament participants Ed West and Alexis Vila sponsored for the live MTV2 audience. In addition, Intimidation has already come to terms to sponsor several of the undercard fighters including Jessica Eye, Dan Spohn, John Hawk, Joey Holt, Dustin Kempf and more. On the same night, with King of the Cage in Mount Pleasant, Michigan, Intimidation will sponsor no less than 7 fighters on the card including KOTC Middleweight Champion Brandon Hunt, a member of the MASH Fight Team.

Once the dust settles, the Intimidation brand will be in more living rooms and in front of more people in September 2011 than possibly every month combined in the company’s history. The time is not to jump on the Intimidation bandwagon and “Impose Your Will.”
