Team Intimidation’s Jordan Parsons set to fight at Bellator 117

Intimidation Weekend MMA Recap: Zomcik impresses with submission at Tuff-N-Uff in Las Vegas

Members of Team Intimidation were in action across the country this past weekend, as fighters competed as far away from Intimidation’s base in Ohio as Las Vegas. That fighter was top amateur female prospect Jessica Zomcik, who earned a victory at Tuff-N-Uff with a second round submission over Bryanna Fissori. As the top pound-for-pound amateur female fighter in the state of Ohio and #1 ranked female amateur at 145lbs in the world, Zomick (8-3) is on the verge of turning pro in the coming months. Jessica Zomcik MMAThe highly-decorated grappler will return to Tuff-N-Uff in November to fight for their 2013 Amateur Women’s Featherweight title.

Two Team Intimidation members were also in action at the Driller MMA/SEG Entertainment event in Minnesota, although unfortunately both Donald Williams and Matt Veal came up short in separate bouts. Williams succumbed to a submission in the third round after a hard fought bout, while Veal dropped a razor thin split decision in the promotion’s featherweight title fight.

Intimidation also sponsored and sold at the HardRock MMA 57 event in Kentucky, and Team Intimidation member Brandon Hurst competed for the organization’s amateur welterweight title. Hurst came up short in the bout, however, as the fighter was submitted by Que Parks in the third round.

This upcoming week will be one of the biggest weekends in recent Intimidation history, as Intimidation will sponsor four events:

  • Intimidation will sponsor and sell at Colosseum Combat XXVI in Kokomo, Indiana. Unbeaten pro prospect Brandon Clawson will also represent Team Intimidation in his bout against Lloyd Carter.
  • Intimidation will sponsor and sell at the TNT Fight Series in Buffalo, New York. Team Intimidation pro Kyle Rozewski will also provide commentary for the event.
  • Intimidation will sponsor its first Canadian event, as Extreme Cage Combat 18 takes place in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
  • Rocktagon MMA 29 will be sponsored by Intimidation in El Paso, Texas.

Along with those events, Intimidation will also sponsor Afghanistan & Iraq war veteran Scott Thometz at Bellator 101 live on Spike.com on Friday night.

Cherico, Parsons, Steave & Worthy wins highlight another successful weekend for Intimidation Clothing

It was yet another busy weekend for the Intimidation brand with pro fighters in Minnesota and Pennsylvania in action.  While the Intimidation crew traveled to Canonsburg, Pennsylvania south of Pittsburgh, the hot-seller of the weekend was Intimidation’s soon to be released Mark Cherico signature tee which is now available for pre-order. mark-cherico03_450More importantly, Cherico (pictured, right) was among four young featherweight prospects in the pro MMA ranks who scored impressive wins.

Former CFA Featherweight Champion Jordan Parsons returned to the cage for the first time in nearly a year at the Driller/SEG event “Havoc at the Hyatt” in Minneapolis, Minnesota on Saturday night. Facing a tough Derek Getzel (7-5), Parsons scored a unanimous decision win to improve to 8-1 as a pro and keep the spotlight on his chances at being a top featherweight in the sport.

Meanwhile, just south of Pittsburgh, another three featherweight prospects from Fight Club Pittsburgh were in action. Mark “The Pride of Bloomfield” Cherico took on another long-time member of Team Intimidation in UFC veteran Donny “Eagle Eye” Walker in the main event at Pinnacle FC’s Pittsburgh Challenge Series 3 event. After a solid first round which saw Cherico open up a cut on Walker’s forehead, he earned a doctor’s stoppage TKO in round 2, easily the most impressive win of his career, to improve to 5-0 as a pro.

Steave improved to 5-2 with a unanimous decision win for his 4th straight victory and Worthy, making his debut at 145lbs, scored a TKO win over cross-town rival Francis Healy. In addition, Intimidation was a proud sponsor of Donny Walker in his main event fight with Cherico and Mike Wiseman, who dropped a split decision to fall to 1-1 as a pro.
