Intimidation is a brand that is known for supporting pro and amateur MMA fighters across the Midwest and beyond, and the company is proud to back two promising young Bantamweights. Isaiah Chapman and Eric Moell together featured 19 wins in 21 amateur fights, and both made their pro debuts in the Midwest on Saturday night with Chapman in Cleveland, Ohio and Moell in Fort Mitchell, Kentucky.

Isaiah Chapman MMAIsaiah Chapman (1-0), who completed a 12-1 amateur MMA career by winning his 2nd straight NAAFS Amateur Bantamweight Championship in November 2011, kicked off his pro MMA career at NAAFS: Caged Vengeance 10 in Cleveland, Ohio while wearing Intimidation’s highly-touted EliteFighter board shorts. Fighting before a sold out crowd at the historic Gray’s Armory downtown, Chapman looked comfortable using a new arsenal of weapons including head kicks and elbows against Richard McDole (1-3). After fending off an armbar submission attempt, the 22-year old Chapman mounted his opponent and used elbow strikes to the head to score the TKO win.

Meanwhile, fighting in the main event at Absolute Action MMA 23 in Fort Mitchell, Kentucky, just a few miles South of Cincinnati, Ohio, Eric Moell also improved to 1-0 as a pro. The 24-year old Moell, while wearing Intimidation’s premium quality EliteFighter vale tudo shorts, needed just 1:13 to lock in an armbar and force the tap from Chris Sallie (0-1) which resulted in the AAMMA 23 Submission of the Night Award. The cements Moell’s 7-1 amateur career and proves that he is yet another phenomenal young Bantamweight fighter that will be a force to be reckoned with on the regional MMA scene and possibly beyond for many years to come.

The Ohio Grappling Challenge put on their 4th Submission Challenge event on Saturday, August 6th in Cincinnati, Ohio. The event, the 4th of the year by the OGC, was sponsored by Intimidation Clothing and was the second event of 2011 in Cincinnati following the 5th Tri-State Grappling Challenge Championship in January.

Malof, who is also sponsored in his MMA fights, is 4-0 as an amateur in MMA competition and will fight on October 1st in North Carolina.

Eric Moell, competing in the No-Gi Advanced at 139 pounds and below, took home 2nd place when a cut on the bridge of his nose caused blood to go into his eyes forcing a referee stoppage. Moell, who is also sponsored in his MMA fights, is 7-1 as an MMA amateur holding the Ultimate Victory Challenge Amateur Bantamwight belt as well as the Absolute Action MMA Amateur Bantamwight title.

Horne, Cruickshank, Vaughan, Washington & Gainey give Intimidation a clean pro sweep over the weekend

It was a slow weekend for Intimidation Clothing. Ok, well if in slow we mean having 8 fighters sponsored is slow. Five pros and three amateurs were slated to compete on June 17th and 18th with sponsored fighters from Ohio, Michigan & West Virginia competing at MMA events in Indiana, Kentucky, Pennsylvania and in Canada. After the dust settled Team Intimidation ended the weekend 7-1 in the eight fights that took place including 5-0 in pro fights. Here is a look at each fighter in action for Intimidation this past weekend.

Billy Vaughan MMACarson Gainey – Gainey stepped into the cage opposite an 8-2 fighter in Darnell Davis at Legends Of Fighting Championship 47 in Indianapolis, Indiana on Friday night. Fighting at 135 pounds yet again, the natural Flyweight (125 lbs) scored his 4th straight win.

Mojo Horne – The M-1 veteran stepped into the cage for the second time in 2011, this time opposite Bellator vet Amaechi Oselukwue. In a call with Intimidation CEO Luke Jernigan shortly after his win, Horne stated that Oselukwue “was stronger than I expected,” but he was able to sink in the rear naked choke and score the submission victory in the AAMMA XV main event in Florence, Kentucky.

Billy Vaughan – In a battle between two fighters who have fought a lineup of MMA All-Stars, Billy Vaughan (pictured) scored the Knockout of the Night at FightRight MMA: Brawl in the Hall in defeating Binky Jones with a 2nd round KO.

Jon Washington – Washington put his undefeated record on the line versus Eric Moore in a lightweight battle and improved his pro record to 4-0 with the FightRight MMA: Brawl in the Hall submission of the night.

Daron Cruickshank – Cruickshank improved to 8-2 with a win over Brian Cardinal (13-7) at SITH: Slammer in the Hammer in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada on Friday night. The MASH Fight Team member from the Detroit, Michigan area scored a 1st round TKO for his second straight win.

In addition, Intimidation also had three sponsored fighters in amateur fights at AAMMA XV. Popular grappling ace Robby Malof scored a 1st round submission victory and Aaron “Timbo Slice” Webb lost after an injury did not allow him to continue after two rounds in the heavyweight title fight. Meanwhile, in the AAMMA Amateur Bantamweight Championship fight, Eric Moell defeated Matthew Lester via 1st round submission.
