Intimidation is of course no stranger to women’s MMA having sponsored fast-rising 125 lb fighter Jessica “Evil” Eye multiple times as well as former Strikeforce top 145 lb contender Jan Finney. Now, the fast-growing makers of MMA apparel are pleased to announce the sponsorship of Erin Toughill on April 9 at the Freestyle Cage Fighting 46 event in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
“The sponsorship of Erin Toughill fits nicely into our growth strategy,” said Luke Jernigan, President & CEO of Intimidation Clothing. “MMA fans in the know are aware of the fact that Erin is widely considered one of the top female fighters in the world at 145 pounds. This is a great opportunity to work with a fantastic fighter in Erin while and also continue to strengthen our name in the region.”
Toughill (10-2-1) will be fighting for the first time since May of 2009 and is currently riding a 4-fight win streak and was ranked as high as the #2 145-pound female fighter in the world according to the Unified Women’s MMA Rankings. She also appeared in the 2008 remake of American Gladiators as “Steel” alongside fellow Galdiator and MMA fighter Gina Carano. Toughill will face Ashley Sanchez (1-2) in the co-main event of the night.
Intimidation Clothing, largely a Midwestern company, recently began their expansion into Oklahoma when they added Thunder MMA as an authorized dealer. Thunder MMA, based in Muskogee, OK, has partnered with Intimidation on co-branded fight shorts and the two have plans to continue to work together to strengthen the Intimidation brand throughout the state and region in the coming months.
