Intimidation Clothing unveiled their new EliteFighter board shorts right in the middle of October, a busy month in the world of MMA, improving the look of what were already becoming known as some of the highest quality board shorts in the game.
Intimidation set the public unveiling of the EliteFighter shorts in motion at NAAFS: Caged Fury 15 in the night’s main event where 4-time UFC veteran Jason Dent became the first to wear the EliteFighter shorts in MMA competition. Dent, whose GriffonRawl MMA Academy became one of Intimidation’s first dealers just a couple of years ago, featured the black EliteFighter shorts with the bold white INTIMIDATION down the front left and back right legs and custom “GriffonRawl MMA Academy” text logo in red on the opposite legs. While Dent was not victorious in his fight against the former Bellator Featherweight Tournament finalist Daniel Straus, the shorts looked great in the HDNet highlights of NAAFS: Caged Fury 15 from Cleveland and will surely look great on the SportsTime Ohio broadcast of the fight as well.
The EliteFighter shorts, made from the exact same premium quality materials as Intimidation’s old board shorts, feature breathable, tear-resistant fabric with the Intimidation logo on the belt as well as down the legs. They also have a velcro fly and waist with tie closure with a waist that has double stitching with durable triple stitch seems and split-seam sides. In addition, the spandex crotch allows for added flexibility.

Intimidation Clothing, UFC vet Jason Dent to unveil new EliteFighter MMA board shorts at NAAFS Caged Fury 15 in Cleveland, Ohio
Intimidation Clothing is pleased to announce that their new EliteFighter board shorts will be publicly unveiled on Saturday night at NAAFS: Caged Fury 15. Jason “Dynamite” Dent, a 4-time UFC veteran and the NAAFS Lightweight Champion will be the first to wear the new shorts inside the cage as he faces Interim Champ Daniel Straus in the title unification bout. Intimidation announced the sponsorship of Jason Dent earlier this week.
“I could not think of a more perfect way to unveil our new EliteFighter shorts than by having Jason wear them at the NAAFS Caged Fury event in Cleveland,” said Luke Jernigan, President & CEO of Intimidation Clothing, LLC. “Jason and GriffonRawl MMA have been great supporters of our brand from day one. With the importance of this fight for the NAAFS and the local MMA scene added to the fact that it will be broadcast on SportsTime Ohio, the timing is fantastic for the growth of the Intimidation brand.”
In addition to the shorts being on display in the night’s main event, the EliteFighter shorts will be available for sale at Intimidation’s booth at the venue in both men’s and women’s styles. The new EliteFighter board shorts from Intimidation Clothing represent the premium quality and durability that fans and fighters alike have come to expect from the Intimidation brand. Multiple fighters with UFC, Bellator and Strikeforce experience can attest to the quality of Intimidation’s MMA board shorts across the USA including Jason Dent, Forrest Petz, Roger Bowling, Stipe Miocic, Brian Rogers, Donny Walker, Chris Lozano, Luis Santos, Marcos Galvao and more. The company also expects to see Galvao wearing the shorts live on MTV2 at Bellator 55.

Intimidation Clothing is pleased to announce that they will be sponsoring George “Bonesaw” Comer in his pro MMA debut on July 23rd at NAAFS: War on the Shore 5. Comer, who completed a perfect 9-0 amateur MMA career by winning the 2010 NAAFS Amateur Welterweight Championship belt was also the NAAFS Amateur Lightweight Champ in 2009 and is the only 2-time amateur champ in NAAFS history. In addition to their sponsorship of Comer, Intimidation will also sponsor several of his teammates in action at the event and the company serves as a title sponsor of all NAAFS fights.
The NAAFS event takes place in Geneva on the Lake, Ohio, and is the only annual MMA event in Ashtabula County, the northeastern most county in the state of Ohio. Comer will face off in the night’s main event with Joey Holt, another lightweight who won his pro debut in February after a 7-5 amateur career. Holt, like Comer, is no stranger to the NAAFS having fought for the promotion in 10 of his 12 ammy fights.
For the fight Comer will walk out wearing the Soulless Clothing “Bonesaw” shirt, a shirt designed specifically for George Comer taking on the likeness of his nickname. Comer will fight in a pair of Intimidation’s premium-quality MMA board shorts as both Soulless and Intimidation continue to work together for select fighter sponsorships in Northeast Ohio.

Each day it seems that Intimidation Clothing makes strides towards having a national presence. From fighter sponsorships on the biggest stages to adding Intimidation to multiple great dealers across the USA. One of the biggest pieces of evidence to this is the newest dealer of Intimidation Clothing products, Thunder MMA in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Thunder MMA will be adding the new gear to their gym later this week as a result of this partnership with Intimidation.
“We’re very pleased to have Thunder MMA on board to sell Intimidation products,” said Intimidation Clothing’s President & CEO, Luke Jernigan. “We have been working on a variety of ways to work together and build our brand in their region for months and this will put us in place to expand our reach greatly.”
Thunder MMA’s inventory will feature a variety of Intimidation styles including the popular new Mr. Tuff, the women’s Knucks & Dagger shirt and multiple pair of co-branded Intimidation & Thunder MMA board shorts (pictured). In addition, it is expected that Intimidation will look to expand their reach in the state of Oklahoma with the sponsorship of fighters from Thunder MMA in the coming months.
Intimidation Clothing-sponsored fighters capped off a 4-1 performance on Saturday night at Strikeforce: Feijao vs. Henderson in Columbus Ohio. In an event that was pivotal in the growth of the young Intimidation brand, the fighters did not disappoint not only by having a successful night but also by repping the brand in the stands for fans throughout the arena to see. All five fighters sponsored are Ohio natives coming from all over the buckeye state; Cincinnati, Columbus, Cleveland, Mansfield & Dover.
Starting off the night for Intimidation was Mitch Whitesel of Wreckroom Athletics. In his 3rd fight of 2011 and 8th fight in 10 months, Whitesel bounced back from a losing streak to score a 1st round submission victory over Marc Cofer (3-4). Whitesel (16-20) wore Intimidation’s popular blue & white board shorts and promptly jumped up to the top rail of the cage in celebration after pulling off the submission.
The second fight with Intimidation influence and the third fight of the night featured fast-rising knockout artists Brian “The Predator” Rogers. Rogers, a product of the Strong Style Fight Team in Independence, was facing Ian Rammel, a 4-2 pro from Cincinnati. Coming off five straight 1st round KO/TKO wins Rogers made sure to keep his streak alive in scoring a TKO victory to improve to 7-2 in his pro MMA career. Rogers wore Intimidation’s blue & white MMA board shorts as well as the new Mr. Tuff MMA t-shirt and an Intimidation beanie.
Next up was Jason “Freebird” Freeman, a fighter who typically fights at Light Heavyweight (205 lbs) but fighting as a Heavyweight in his Strikeforce debut. Freeman was a bit of an underdog coming into the fight with opponent Jason Riley having a Strikeforce fight already under his belt and being a natural Heavyweight, outweighing Freeman by 37 pounds. While Riley was able to rock Freeman in the 1st round, he made the mistake of letting Freeman to his feet as the lighter fighters proved heavy-handed in scoring a win via Submission due to punches. Freeman improved to 6-4 (1 NC) wearing Intimidation’s white & black shorts and Authority t-shirt then later donning an Intimidation Cross shirt while watching the main card fights later in the night.
Billy Vaughan walked to the cage to face one of the most well-known fighters in all of Ohio in Jorge Gurgel in a lightweight battle. Gurgel, who owns several gyms in the Midwest, sold over 400 tickets (far fewer than the half of the crowd of 20,000 that he stated earlier in the week) to the event and did not disappoint his fans. Vaughan was wearing Intimidation’s white & black shorts and a sponsor tee and took the fight on three days notice. Vaughan came out aggressively and paid getting caught in a guillotine choke where he was forced to tap within the first minute. Now 9-7, Vaughan will surely be fighting at 145 pounds or less as he has considered event cutting to 135 for future fights.
In the sixth fight of the night and the fifth straight fight with Intimidation representation, “Relentless” Roger Bowling, a 2-fight veteran of Strikeforce already, walked to the cage to face Josh Thornburg. Bowling, a native of Cincinnati who trains at Vision MMA, found Thornburg’s chin to be better than expected as Bowling won a one-sided unanimous decision. However Thornburg did pull off multiple submission attempts that made Bowling’s fans hold their breath, but in speaking with Roger after the fight none were tight enough to cause concern. Bowling (9-1) walked out with Intimidation’s Cross t-shirt which he wore in the crowd after the fight as well. In addition Bowling wore Intimidation’s blue & white board shorts with Intimidation logos on the front and back of the shorts.
In all, Intimidation fighters completed the night winning 4 of 5 fights giving Intimidation-sponsored pros a 7-1 record in the past two weeks of Ohio-based events. A week prior to the Strikeforce event Intimidation’s three fighters had a clean sweep at NAAFS: Caged Fury 14 in Cleveland, Ohio.
One night before Intimidation Clothing invades the MMA world with five fighter sponsorships on the Strikeforce: Feijao vs. Henderson card in Columbus, Ohio, the festivities were made official. Hosting fighter weigh-ins at the Arnold Sports Classic in downtown Columbus, Ohio, just around the corner from Nationwide Arena, the home of the Strikeforce fights, all 20 fighters made weight without issue. Included in that group of 20 fighters are the five sponsored by Intimidation Clothing: Roger Bowling, Brian Rogers, Billy Vaughan, Jason Freeman and Mitch Whitesel.
“Relentless” Roger Bowling (pictured) will walk out wearing the top-selling shirt of all-time for Intimidation, the Cross t-shirt that served as Bowling’s walkout tee at Strikeforce: Challengers 8 in May 2010. A welterweight, Bowling will also be wearing Intimidation’s popular blue & white MMA board shorts with logos on the front and back and is 8-1 as a pro and 1-1 under the Strikeforce banner.
Middleweight Brian “The Predator” Rogers (5-2) will be wearing an Intimidation sponsor shirt as the ultra-popular fighters from Northeast Ohio also sports Intimidation’s blue & white shorts and an Intimidation hat. Rogers has a streak of five straight wins coming into this fight, all of which coming by 1st round KO/TKO.
Billy Vaughan started his week without a fight before fate would hand him an opportunity of a lifetime. Vaughan (9-6) will face UFC & Strikeforce veteran Jorge Gurgel in a lightweight battle that will see Vaughan in black Intimidation fight shorts.
Jason “Freebird” Freeman enters the Strikeforce cage at 6-5 as a pro fighting a much larger Jason Riley in a heavyweight bout. Freeman will feature the white & black Intimidation shorts with logos on the front and back of the shorts as he looks to overcome a 37 pound weight disadvantage.
Mitch Whitesel has experienced about all a fighter can experience in the cage at 15-20 as a pro. That experience should do him well in facing a fighter who is much younger to the pro fight game in Marc Cofer at 3-3. Whitesel is expected to wear an Intimidation walkout tee with Intimidation’s blue & white board shorts.
Strikeforce: Feijao vs. Henderson will take place beginning at 7:30 pm ET at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio with the Showtime-televised main card beginning at 10 pm ET.
Intimidation Clothing is pleased to announce they have teamed up with GriffonRawl MMA Academy in Mentor, Ohio to feature Intimidation’s new MMA board shorts. As part of their new agreement, Intimidation and GriffonRawl have chosen to work together to supply board shorts to each of GriffonRawl’s professional MMA fighters. With GriffonRawl’s logo and team colors of red & black, Intimidation red & black MMA board shorts were the ideal choice and feature both the Intimidation logo and GriffonRawl MMA Academy in block letters on the legs.

“We are always pleased to expand our relationships with our many great dealers and Jason Dent and GriffonRawl have been great to us over the past year,” stated Luke Jernigan, President & CEO of Intimidation Clothing. “After Donny Walker successfully defended his NAAFS Featherweight title in our shorts in December he made sure to let me know that our shorts are some of the highest quality he has ever worn. After getting similar feedback from several other fighters including UFC veterans Jason Dent & Forrest Petz, it became clear that our shorts need to be a bigger focus of our Sales & Marketing efforts moving forward.”
Intmidation’s board shorts, like all of their MMA apparel, are made from premium quality materials. The ProFighter style MMA board shorts are breathable & tear resistant with the Intimidation Clothing logo on the front right leg and on the waist. Each pair of shorts features a velcro fly and waist with tie closure and a front mouthguard pocket on most styles. The shorts feature a waist that has double stitching with triple stitch seems and split-seam sides and are 100% polyester. All of Intimidation’s MMA board shorts are Made in the USA.
