Intimidation sponsored Isaiah “The Beast” Champan makes national debut at WSOF 13 on NBC Sports Network

Long-time Team Intimidation member Isaiah “The Beast” Chapman is set to make his World Series of Fighting debut at WSOF 13 in Philadelphia. Isaiah Chapman MMAChapman (6-1) is set to face Timur Valiev (7-1) in a main card bout on Saturday, September 13, and the fight will air live on the NBC Sports Network.

Sporting board shorts again from Intimidation Clothing, Chapman returned to the cage in March after a layoff of 11 months, stemming from a shoulder injury that he suffered in his only pro loss against Bryan Goldsby. Chapman put on an impressive performance at “Driven MMA One,” earning a clear-cut unanimous decision over the tough Charles Stanford. He then returned to action at the annual “Fight Nite in the Flats X” event in Cleveland in June, earning a dominant unanimous decision victory over American Top Team product Andrew Whitney to improve his record to 6-1.

Weekend #MMA Recap: Intimidation continues success in Cleveland at Driven MMA’s Fight Nite in the Flats

As always, the Intimidation Clothing brand was a major presence at the annual Fight Nite in the Flats event in Cleveland, once again having a banner night at the 10th edition of the event. This year both Driven MMA and NAAFS teamed up to offer fans at Jacobs Pavilion a great night of fights, just as Intimidation and UR Fight teamed up to offer fans a one-stop shop for their MMA apparel needs.

Isaiah Chapman MMAIntimidation Clothing sponsored four professional fighters on the night, including the winners in the night’s main event and co-main event bouts. In the co-main event, Isaiah “The Beast” Chapman (6-1) put on yet another impressive performance, as his signature shirts sold like hotcakes at the official Intimidation booth all night. Chapman (pictured, left) picked up his second victory in a row, earning a unanimous decision over fellow top prospect Andrew Whitney (9-3) in a featured bout.

In the night’s main event, Team Intimidation fighter Frank “The Tank” Caraballo (13-7) earned perhaps the most impressive victory of his career, as he finished 2-time UFC veteran Tommy Hayden (6-3) via verbal submission in the second round. #LocalMMA Monday: NAAFS & Driven MMA

The first installment of IntimidationMMA.com’s #LocalMMA Monday features perhaps the biggest name in all of Local MMA, as the co-branded NAAFS/Driven MMA organization kicks us off. Based out of Canton, Ohio, the North American Allied Fight Series was founded in 2005 as “Gladiator Fighting” with current CEO Greg Kalikas in conjunction with veteran kickboxer Duke Roufus. NAAFS in the FlatsSince then, the organization has promoted more than 125 live events in the Midwest and has become one of the most respected amateur leagues in the country.

Kalikas’ NAAFS developed into a powerhouse on the local scene, holding the majority of their events in Canton, Akron and Cleveland before eventually branching out from events in Northeast Ohio to hold events all over the state. Then the organization was one of the first promoters to hold an event in West Virginia when the state regulated MMA in 2012. Over its nearly decade as an organization, the NAAFS has come to be known as a leader in amateur MMA, women’s MMA, and producing top talent for the UFC, Bellator MMA and other national organizations.

In addition to its top names, NAAFS has come to be known for featuring women’s MMA, spearheaded by the first woman of Ohio MMA, Jessica “Evil” Eye. Eye competed in the first women’s bout in NAAFS history, headlined the first all-female card, became the first female amateur NAAFS champion, and became the first female to headline a card featuring men for the organization as well. The NAAFS National Amateur Series is a true proving ground for amateur fighters who want to make it to the next level, and many top names have claimed NAAFS amateur gold before turning pro. Weekend Recap: Chapman, Comer, Hawk, Morrow, Rozewski & Zomcik highlight record weekend for Intimidation at Colosseum Combat & Driven MMA events

March 1st marked one of the biggest days in Intimidation Clothing history, with three events sponsored in three different states and multiple fighters also representing the brand in action. Sponsoring two of the most successful and respected Local MMA promotions in the Midwest, Colosseum Combat MMA in Indiana and Driven MMA (powered by the NAAFS) in Ohio, the Intimidation brand was once again the most visible supporter of Local MMA in the region.

Jessica Zomcik WMMA The Intimidation crew was on hand at the inaugural Driven MMA event in Canton, Ohio, where fans flocked to the official booth all night while sponsored fighters went 5-2 inside the cage. The all professional event featured 12 bouts, including victories by the likes of Team Intimidaton’s “Big” John Hawk, Jessica “The Zombie” Zomcik, Isaiah “The Beast” Chapman, George “Bonesaw” Comer and Kyle “Kyote” Rozewski. In addition, five Intimidation alums fought on the card with Tony Castillo, Jr., Maxim Grishin, Reggie Parks and Wes Hanson all picking up wins.

Hawk picked up a victory in his first appearance at heavyweight since 2011, as the 3-time Bellator MMA veteran moved to 9-5 overall with a unanimous decision win over fellow Intimidation sponsored heavyweight William “King” Penn (7-4). One of two fighters with his Intimidation signature tee on sale at the event, Hawk is a mainstay with Team Intimidation as a product of Strong Style in MMA.

Zomcik – who sported the “I ♥ #WMMA” tee on her way to the cage – was successful in her pro debut, as the Evolve MMA product picked up where she left off in her amateur career with a 5th straight win overall since switching camps to Evolve MMA. Isaiah Chapman MMAZomcik (pictured, right) completed her 9-3 amateur MMA career by winning the Tuff-N-Uff Women’s 145lb Tournament in November and is starting to be seen nationally as one of the top prospects in Women’s MMA.

Chapman (pictured, left) made his return to the cage in nearly a year after an injury, and picked up a unanimous decision over Charles Stanford (4-2) to move to 5-1 overall. With his Intimidation signature tee on display and for sale throughout the night, Chapman, a long-time member of Team Intimidation, got back on track after ending his amateur career at 12-1 and starting his pro career at 4-0.

Comer continued his run as the most consistent lightweight in Ohio, as he moved to 4-1 overall with a dominant 3-round submission victory over Anthony Morgan (3-1). After a 9-0 amateur career saw Comer struggle to finish his opponents, it is apparent that his training at GriffonRawl MMA is paying off as he scored his third finish in four pro wins.

Kyle Rozewski MMAAnd finally, Rozewski (pictured, right) picked up a win with a first round triangle submission over fellow Team Intimidation member Dustin Kempf. Rozewski, who signed an expanded sponsorship deal with Intimidation earlier this year, earned his fourth win in five fights with each of the four wins coming via stoppage.

Meanwhile, at the sponsored Colosseum Combat XXVIII event in Kokomo, Indiana, sponsored fighter Robert “The Destroyer” Morrow (13-15) successfully defended his light heavyweight title, as he moved to 7-3 in his last 10 fights with a first round TKO victory over Keith Smetana. The win earned him the “Performance of the Night” honors from BluegrassMMA, who were there covering the event. While Intimidation planned to have multiple others fighters sponsored at the event, between injuries and no-show opponents, Morrow was the lone fighter sponsored on the night.

Finally, Intimidation sponsored the Cashfeddy Fight League, a newly-formed Michigan MMA promotion in Grand Rapids.

March 1st shaping up to be huge date for Intimidation & for Local MMA in the Midwest

March 1, 2014. Mark your calendars MMA fans, especially if you live in the Midwest. Intimidation Clothing is pleased to be working with three promotions on that date to sponsor events in Ohio, Indiana and Michigan as the brand continues to be the industry’s biggest supporter of Local MMA. The premier of Driven MMA in Canton, Ohio is where we start our look ahead as the state of Ohio is in for a treat on the same weekend as the Arnold Sports Festival taking place in Columbus. With the first all-pro card in the state of Ohio since Bellator 66 in April 2012, Driven MMA’s inaugural event has the makings of an instant classic with the areas top pros from top to bottom. Working in conjunction with the NAAFS, a slew of former NAAFS pro and amateur champions will appear on this card including Nick Duell, John Hawk, Isaiah Chapman, George Comer and more. In addition, 2013 Tuff-N-Uff Woemn’s 145lb Champion Jessica Zomcik returns home to make her pro debut while two Intimidation staples – Kyle Rozewski & Dustin Kempf – are scheduled for a bout that has with “Fight of the Night” written all over it. In Kokomo, Indiana, Mark Slater (pictured below) is a bit of a celebrity. The promoter for Colosseum Combat MMA might be one of the best sponsorship-hustling promoters in the industry – and that is saying a lot. Having now worked with Intimidation to sponsor each of his shows for two years straight, the Colosseum Combat promotion is seeing more and more Intimidation in and around their cage. On March 1st that is no different as reigning CC Professional Welterweight Champion Ryan “The Tank Engine” Thomas is set to defend his title. A UFC, Bellator and XFC vet, Thomas (17-8) has been sponsored by Intimidation in 3 of his past 4 fights including this one and is 2-0 fighting inside the the Colosseum Combat cage. Meanwhile former #1 featherweight contender Bobby Emmons will also rock Intimidation once again in Kokomo. The decorated grappler is expected to unveil his new “White Trash BJJ” signature tee at the event with the shirt on display and on sale at the Intimidation booth.

Finally, the Cashfeddy Fight League makes their first move into Michigan’s wide-open Local MMA market holding their inaugural event in Grand Rapids.
