UFC on FOX 5 participants have Intimidation flavor

Three fighters with a history of working with Intimidation Clothing were in action at the UFC on FOX 5 event over the weekend, with two of them picking up impressive knockout victories.

Lightweight Daron Cruickshank (pictured, left) went 5-0 on the regional circuit while being sponsored by Intimidation, and the member of James Lee’s MASH Fight Team from Detroit got his break when he was selected as a cast member for The Ultimate Fighter Live in 2012. After making it into the house on TUF, Cruickshank was then invited to compete in the UFC after the season was over. He has since racked up a 2-0 record inside the Octagon, including a unanimous decision over Chris Tickle at the TUF Live Finale and a fantastic head kick knockout over Henry Martinez at UFC on FOX 5. Cruickshank grew up with a father who holds black belts in multiple martial arts and a mother who was a professional kickboxer. He wrestled in college at Olivet College in Michigan and currently teaches kickboxing and appeared on on MTV’s Bully Beatdown in early 2011.

Lightweight Marcus LeVesseur was sponsored by Intimidation in three bouts in 2011, where he just happened to go 3-0, earning him a spot in the UFC. Daron Cruickshank MMAThe Minnesota product has now competed three times for the UFC, including a win over Carlo Prater at UFC on FX 5 in October. A four-time Minnesota state champion wrestler, LeVesseur also won four Division III national championships while wrestling for Augsburg College in Minnesota.

Welterweight Matt Brown is known as one of the most popular fighters in Ohio, and the Columbus native held a seminar at the GriffonRawl Academy (pictured, right) in 2010 that was sponsored by Intimidation Clothing. Intimidation Clothing to sponsor Bo Harris at Bellator 83 live on Spike.com in Atlantic City, New Jersey

Intimidation Clothing is proud to announce its sponsorship of bantamweight Bo Harris in his upcoming bout at Bellator 83 on Dec. 7 in New Jersey. Harris (7-4) , who hails from Michigan and is considered one of the best bantamweight prospects in the Midwest, is slated to take on Claudio Ledesma (7-3) as part of the preliminary card for the event. Bo Harris MMAThe event, held in Atlantic City, New Jersey, will also feature two Intimidation sponsored fighters on the MTV2 broadcast in Jessica Eye who faces Zoila Gurgel and Shah Shamhalaev, who faces Rad Martinez in the featherweight tournament final.

Harris, a 3-year MMA pro, will compete for Bellator for the third time, as he looks to bounce back from a loss to former world champion Chase Beebe in October. Also a King of the Cage and MFC veteran, Harris is a member of James Lee’s MASH Fight Team. He has finished four of his foes, including two knockouts and two submissions. Ledesma is a Renzo Gracie disciple and should be a worthy foe for Harris.

Zachrich, Lee, Buck, Blackwell & Hanna score wins on record weekend for the Intimidation brand

Once again, fighters sponsored by Intimidation Clothing had a successful weekend over the weekend of August 4th.

Following a lengthy layoff, Luke Zachrich (pictured) earned a hard-fought victory by unanimous decision over Nick Kraus at UVC 20. The win marked the first for Zachrich since 2009, and should send a notice to middleweights around the world that he is healed up and looking to stake his claim in the division.

Also at UVC 20 in Columbus, Rob Hanna won by submission due to strikes over Nate Clark. Hanna made a successful transition to the professional ranks after a stand-out career as an amateur.

At the NAAFS’ first show in Eastlake, Ohio, fan-favorite Terry Blackwell earned a split decision victory over a very game opponent in Brandon Suber. With the win, Blackwell moves up to 3-1 as a professional and 8-1 overall in his MMA career.

Intimidation Clothing also sponsored Johnny Buck in his XFC 19 fight, which ended in dramatic fashion with a KO victory for Buck. In fact, Buck and Intimidation Clothing got some national publicity when the knockout was featured HERE in a clip on ESPN (Buck’s KO can be seen at 0:20 in the video). The fight aired live on AXS TV and got some recognition on the popular MMA website Middle Easy.

Intimidation Clothing was also proud to sponsor Evolve MMA’s Doug Kulbis, Buckeye MMA’s Jon Washington and Indiana-based middleweight Nick Kraus, who all came up short in their bouts on the UVC 20 card. Also representing Intimidation Clothing but coming up short was Adam (David) Mays, who dropped his bout at XFC 19, live on AXS TV.

Amoussou, Hinkle headline 6-0 weekend for Intimidation sponsored pros at MMA & boxing events

Intimidation sponsored pro fighters in MMA and boxing scored an undefeated record this weekend at events across the USA. While Bellator 69 was playing out on MTV2 with Karl Amoussou in action in the semifinals of their Season 6 Welterweight Tournament in Louisiana, the Intimidation crew was at the first MMA event in the history of Charleston, West Virginia. A night after sponsoring Reality Cage Combat in Charleston, Intimidation traveled to Cleveland, Ohio, to sponsor Newhouse Promotions’ No Vet Left Behind boxing event and complete the stellar weekend.

Karl Amoussou – Fighting in the semifinals of the Bellator Season 6 Welterweight Tournament, Amoussou scored a split decision win over previously unbeaten David Rickels on MTV2 to advance to the Tournament final. Amoussou will face Bryan Baker in the Welterweight Tournament final expected to take place during the 2012 Summer Series.

Branden Hinkle – In a battle that featured a 14-year pro and UFC veteran versus a prospect, the experience won out as Branden Hinkle earned a TKO win in round 2. After his opponent weighed in at 218 pounds for their scheduled light heavyweight bout, Hinkle, while wearing Intimidation’s EliteFighter board shorts, punished Roane on the ground raining down with punches and elbows for the win.

Antonio Nieves BoxingWes Lane – The man nicknamed “Limp Noodle” with a sea of fans waving foam noodles throughout the night made sure those fans went home happy as he scored a TKO win. With the win Lane improves to 2-2 after a successful debut at 135 pounds.

Eric Moon – After taking the fight on just a couple days notice, MASH fight Team member Eric Moon scored a _ win. A fighter who has been sponsored by Intimidation many times in the past two years, Moon traveled from Michigan to West Virginia for the 170 lb fight which improves his record to 10-9-1.

Matt Garretson – After struggling at the start of his pro career, Matt Garretson picked up his first pro win at the Reality Cage Combat event. One of many from the Butch Hiles BJJ & MMA gyms across the region, Garretson sent the fans home happy after locking in a rear naked choke in the 2nd round.

Antonio Nieves – Rounding out the weekend for Intimidation was Antonio Nieves (pictured, right), a product of Strong Style Martial Arts and Old School Boxing, improved to 2-0 as a professional scoring a majority decision. Nieves has now fought both of his professional fights for Intimidation sponsored Newhouse Promotions which holds boxing events in Cleveland, Ohio.

King of the Cage: Hardcore - April 26, 2012Hunt (8-3), the reigning King of the Cage Middleweight Champion since 2010, will face undefeated prospect Sean Strickland (8-0) in the title fight to take place on Thursday night April 26th at KOTC: Hardcore at the San Manuel Casino in Highland, California.

A member of James Lee’s MASH Fight Team, all 11 of Hunt’s professional fights coming for the King of the Cage promotion. After a loss in his pro debut Hunt has won 8 of 10 fights and will look to avenge his lone loss in the past three years when he faces Strickland.
