Intimidation Clothing is proud to announce sponsorship of Minnesota-based fighter Mike “The Marine” Richman in the Bellator Season 7 Featherweight Tournament semifinals. Richman sports a 13-1 mixed martial arts record and is one of the fastest rising 145-pound stars in the game. He is set to square off with fellow Intimidation-sponsored featherweight Shahbulat Shamhalaev for a spot in the 145-pound finals at Bellator 79 at Casino Rama in Rama, Ontario, Canada on November 2nd. The event will also be shown live on MTV 2.

Mike Richman MMARichman began his MMA career in 2008 after serving three tours as an infantryman in Iraq as part of the United States Marines, and he quickly racked up an 8-0 record with little formal training. From there, he earned a spot on the 28-man cast of “The Ultimate Fighter 12.” While Richman dropped the first bout of his career when he lost to Aaron Wilkinson in the preliminary round, he saw that as an opportunity to test himself as a fighter. Since then, he has gone 5-1 with four stoppages, including an 83-second knockout over veteran Chris Horodecki in his Bellator debut at Bellator 64 in April. Then, he proved prophetic in his tournament debut by delivering on a promised knockout over Jeremy Spoon with a head kick just 23 seconds into the bout. Overall, he has earned stoppages in 12 of his 13 victories, including five knockouts and seven submissions. He is just two victories away from $100,000 and a guaranteed title shot.

The fight will mark the third time in which Richman has been sponsored by the Intimidation brand including a September 2011 fight for SEG/Driller Promotions, a Intimidation-sponsored promotion in Minnesota. In addition to wearing Intimidation’s premium quality EliteFighter MMA board shorts Richman will also be sponsored by the good people at Future Legend, another regular sponsor of Bellator fighters.
