Intimidation sponsored Cardillo, Chapman, Cherico & Milstead score wins at NAAFS Caged Fury 17 in Morgantown, West Virginia
The Intimidation brand scored another amazing night in West Virginia on Friday night NAAFS: Caged Fury 17. The event, held at the spacious Mylan Park Expo Center in Morgantown, WV, was the second highly successful event for Intimidation in Morgatown under the NAAFS banner in 2012. With Mixed Martial Arts having kicked off in the Mountain State for the first time in 2012, Intimidation Clothing has twice followed the NAAFS into Morgantown scoring big nights both times with a variety of fighters from across the Midwest sponsored by the Intimidation brand including Travis Clark, Mark Cherico, Isaiah Chapman (pictured), Adam Milstead, Jason Cardillo, Joe Wagner, Ronell Green, Kevin Rothacker and Justin Steave.
Winners on the night were Isaiah Chapman by KO, Mark Cherico in his pro debut, Adam Milstead in his heavyweight debut and Jason Cardillo.
Isaiah Chapman – Chapman (2-0 pro) scored one of the most impressive finishes of the night with a kick to the head of opponent Joe Wagner. The 2010 and 2011 NAAFS Amateur Bantamweight Champion who went 12-1 as an amateur wore Intimidation’s premium-quality EliteFighter MMA board shorts once again. Chapman is a product of Rock Hard MMA in Akron, Ohio.
Mark Cherico – Cherico (1-0) won his pro debut in impressive fashion scoring a 1st round rear naked choke submission victory. The Fight Club Pittsburgh featherweight was the NAAFS 2011 Amateur 145 lb Champion and looks to build on that success in the pro ranks.
Adam Milstead – Milstead (1-1) picked up his first pro win with a 2nd round TKO of Nathan “BAM” Bryant. One of four fighters on the card from Fight Club Pittsburgh, Milstead completed a highly successful amateur MMA career (10-2) winning 9th straight fights before going pro.
Jason Cardillo – Cardillo (3-0) scored a unanimous decision win in his 3rd pro fight defeating Dequan Townsend. Cardillo, a product of Fight Club Pittsburgh, was sponsored for the first time by the Intimidation brand and was also undefeated throughout his amateur career.
In addition to a huge presence at NAAFS: Caged Fury 17 in Morgantown, West Virginia, the Intimidation brand also had fighters sponsored in Kansas City, Missouri, and Mt. It is amazing the difference a year makes. One year ago Intimidation Clothing made a strong public debut at NAAFS: Fight Nite in the Flats VI debuting their Jason Dent signature shirt before a hostile crowd which featured Dent against Chris Lozano. Dent, along with two GriffonRawl amateur fighters were the lone fighters sponsored by Intimidation on what was, looking back, one of the best fight cards in the history of Ohio MMA. A year later Intimidation not only is a title sponsor of all NAAFS events, but also sponsored eight fighters including six pros on the Fight Nite in the Flats VII card.
NAAFS: Fight Nite in the Flats VII, the 2011 version, proved to be another packed house for the North American Allied Fight Series at the now named Jacobs’ Pavilion in downtown Cleveland. The night saw Intimidation go 4-2 in pro fighter sponsorships (with both fighters sponsored in the middleweight title fight) and 1-1 in amateur fights. After defending NAAFS Amateur Bantamweight Champion Isaiah Chapman (11-1) was prepped by Intimidation-sponsored cutman David Maldonado (pictured), Chapman made quick work of his opponent scoring a 1st round submission of Vision MMA’s Hussein Hmood. The only other amateur fight featuring an Intimidation-sponsored fighter saw Tyler Saltsman drop a unanimous decision to Cody Garbrandt in a decision that will alter the NAAFS amateur bantamweight division rankings.
The first pro fight of the night featured Evolve MMA’s Clint Musser (1-0) making his pro debut, a debut that turned out to be a good one with a 1st round TKO win.
As the title fights began, the heavyweight championship fight pitted 6’4″ Stipe Miocic against 5’9″ Bobby Brents. Miocic (6-0), widely-regarded as one of the top heavyweight prospects in all of MMA, scored a 2nd round TKO when a leg kick forced Brents (9-2) to tap out. In the middleweight title fight, defending champion AJ Aeschilmann (3-2) suffered a left knee injury in the first round but was able to score takedowns throughout the three rounds. But challenger Travis “The Terror” Clark (pictured) lived up to his nickname as he terrorized Aeschilman with kicks that cause the defending champ’s participation after round two to come into question. But while Aeschilmann showed the heart of a champion and answered the bell for round three, it was Clark who chalked up an eventual TKO win.
While the night did not end the way that the fans had hoped when Jessica Eye was submitted in round two by Aisling Daly, the night as a whole proved to be a huge success for both the fans of MMA in Northeast Ohio as well as the NAAFS organization. In a world of MMA promotions that have five or six events a year, the NAAFS puts on 25-30 events, more than anyone else in the Midwest and more than most any promotion in the world outside of the UFC.
In other action across the region Intimidation-sponsored Shane Chojnacki won his pro debut by 2nd round TKO on Friday night at the Central Pennsylvania Warrior Challenge event in Lancaster, PA. In total, Intimidation-sponsored pros went 5-2 for the weekend.

Few times does Intimidation Clothing ever make such a big deal about an event. Few times is an event so entirely big in the world of MMA in the Midwest as tonight’s NAAFS: Fight Nite in the Flats 7 event. Rain or shine, live from the Nautica Pavilion in the Flats in downtown Cleveland, the fans will be treated to the biggest and arguably best annual MMA event in the state of Ohio.
The card featured three title fights and a fourth fight worthy of main event status with six pro fights in all as well as 10 planned amateur bouts. Included in the amateur fights are some of the top up-and-coming amateur fighters in the region including possibly the three most hyped amateur bantamweights in the Midwest. Tyler Saltsman faces Cody Garbrandt with both looking to settle a score while top-ranked Isaiah Chapman has a fight with a relative unknown fighter on the card as well. It is likely that the Saltsman vs. Garbrandt winner will get a shot at Chapman, the defending 2010 NAAFS Amateur Bantamweight Champion, later this summer. Both Chapman and Saltsman will be sponsored by Intimidation Clothing at this event.
In the pro fights, Intimidation is sponsoring 6 of the 12 pro fighters beginning with Clint Musser who will be making his pro debut. In the third pro fight of the night, 2-time Bellator vet Chris Lozano will make his return to Cleveland to face Derek Smith. Intimidation Clothing will be sponsoring Lozano in the fight, his second consecutive local fight, since being a participant in Bellator’s season four welterweight tournament. In the first of three title fights, Intimidation Clothing will sponsor Stipe Miocic as he faces Bobby Brents in the finals of the NAAFS Heavyweight Tournament with the belt on the line. That fight is followed by two Intimidation sponsored fighters, AJ Aeschilmann and Travis Clark, facing off for the NAAFS Middleweight title. Finally, in the main event of the night, Jessica “Evil” Eye will face Ireland’s Aisling Daly in the night’s main event for the NAAFS Women’s Championship. Intimidation will be sponsoring Eye for the 3rd time in 4 pro fights and selling their Jessica Eye signature shirts at the event.
