Weekend MMA Recap: Evans, Horne & Tickle score impressive wins sponsored by Intimidation

In a MMA busy weekend across the Ohio Valley, Intimidation Clothing was represented well, including events in Ohio, Michigan, and Kentucky. Multiple fighters picked up big wins while being sponsored by the brand, including a TUF vet, a title fight winner, and a potential future UFC star.

While veteran pro MMA fighter Eric Moon’s fight was scrapped at the last minute, TUF 15 veteran Chris Tickle (9-7) and new WXC welterweight champ David Evans (3-1) were both able to bring home wins for the brand. Tickle, pictured with TUF 15 teammate & UFC lightweight Daron Cruickshank, earned a dominant unanimous decision victory over Andrew Morais (3-2), receiving scores of 30-27 on all 3 judges’ scorecards. Evans picked up a win in the main event, outlasting the more experienced DeQuan Townsend (7-3) to earn a unanimous decision in the 5-round title fight.

Intimidation also sponsored the successful EFP: Caged Madness 31 event in Akron, Ohio. Multiple notables were in action, including Bellator veteran Robert White (4-1) in the main event. Multiple fighters who have sported the Intimidation brand in the past competed at the event, including Reggie Parks (3-2-1), Bellator veteran Dustin Kempf (6-8), and more.

And finally, longtime Intimidation sponsored fighter Billy “Mojo” Horne (15-4) racked up his fourth straight victory at Turf Wars 20 in Northern Kentucky, as he dominated Donta Wade (3-1) over 3 rounds to earn a unanimous decision in the main event. There have been rumors floating around that Mojo could be on his way to a national organization very soon.

Also in action was Team Intimidation’s own Kyle “Kyote” Rozewski as he made his pro boxing debut in Toledo, Ohio. While a decision did not go his way, Rozewski continues to focus on his upcoming training trip in China.

Intimidation Weekend Recap: Successful weekend sees Intimidation on display across the USA

The Intimidation brand had one of their busiest weekends of 2014  as Intimidation Clothing crews were busy in four different states over the weekend, including Ohio, New York, Michigan, and Indiana.

Colosseum Combat MMA girlsIntimidation’s Indiana crew headlined the weekend at one of the Midwest’s premier MMA promotions – Colosseum Combat in Kokomo, Indiana. Fans once again witnessed another solid pro/am fight card which can easily rival anyone in the Hoosier State as Mark Slater’s Colosseum Combat MMA continues to be one of the most consistent Local MMA promotions in the country.

The Intimidate Cancer crew was on hand at the Hubbard Leukemia Society Fundraising Family Day in Hubbard, Ohio. Those in attendance had a fantastic response to the Intimidate Cancer division of the company where a portion of the proceeds go to fund cancer and leukemia research.

Intimidation’s newly-formed New York crew was on hand in Fredonia at the latest New York State Grappling Championships event, which featured some of the best grapplers from the region competing in the submission tournament. Intimidation sponsored grapplers Rebecca Heintzman and And Intimidation’s Michigan crew was at Prison City Fight League’s “25 to Life” in Jackson, Michigan.

Josh Longood MMALongtime Team Intimidation member Josh Longood successfully closed out his amateur career, as the Ohio fighter made his way to Kentucky for Turf Wars 18. Longood (pictured, left) picked up the Turf Wars bantamweight title with a second round submission over Elliott Blair, and now looks forward to his professional career. Meanwhile Intimidation alum Mojo Horne picked up a win in the night’s main event at the same event.

Also, four Intimidation alums were in action at the Bellator 120 pay-per-view event, including Alexander Shlemenko, Fabricio Guerriero, Mike Richman, and Shahbulat Shamhalaev.

Looking ahead, Intimidation will have a major presence at this weekend’s PinnacleFC 7 event in Pittsburgh, where Out of the Cage Clothing will represent the brand at their official booth. Intimidation is also set to sponsor co-main event fighter Khama “The Death Star” Worthy, as well as Bobby “White Trash BJJ” Emmons in his late replacement bout against A.J. Bosley.
